RLT Education Wants to Hear From You!

Tell us about the value of virtual classes

Hello!

I hope this email finds you all well, safe and energized by the sunshine and warming spring weather. Encountering the one-year mark from when the COVID-19 pandemic brought things to a halt in 2020 has prompted a lot of reflection for us here at Raleigh Little Theatre, as I’m sure it has for you and your family as well. Our education program accomplished a lot in this very strange, very unexpected year.

As many of you know, we spent most of the last year conducting our programming virtually. Our incredible teaching artists pivoted with focus and creativity as we all figured out how to teach drama and theatre online - something none of us ever imagined we would do in our work. And students brightened our days and each others’ as we used technology and drama together as tools for connection and collaboration.

As part of our reflective process, we want to hear from you! Please take our survey!

Whether you took a virtual class with us or not, we want to understand more about the value of virtual learning for you and your family. While teaching and learning virtually presents a host of challenges, we also know it removes common barriers to participation such as travel time and transportation. Help us learn more about your experience of this last year in our virtual classes, or take this opportunity to share with us why you chose not to participate in them - we want to understand as many perspectives as we can as we move forward with planning the year ahead.

You can contact us at education@raleighlittletheatre.org if you have any questions, and thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts with us about our virtual classes!

Take care,

Meredyth Pederson Cooper, Director of Education

PS, Please take the 5-question survey by May 15. It is relevant to both adult and youth students, all those who participated in virtual classes as well as those who opted not to. We value your opinions!
