Breach of Peace runs Friday & Saturday!

Mike Wiley’s Breach of Peace opens this Friday for a very limited engagement. This interactive virtual performance is unlike any “Zoom theatre” you’ve watched before. Keep your cameras on and stay in the moment during this moving performance about the brave Freedom Riders of 1961.

Learn more about Mike Wiley here and do some pre-show reading about the Freedom Rides here. There will be a live post-show discussion after each performance, so stick around after the show to ask Mike Wiley your questions.

Breach of Peace runs this Friday and Saturday only, January 22 & 23 at 8:00 PM. Ticket sales close an hour before the show starts, so don’t wait until the last minute! A box office representative will be available via (919) 821-3111 or BoxOffice@RaleighLittleTheatre.org beginning at 6:30 PM each performance night if you need assistance prior to the show starting.

The featured storytellers include:

Auditions & announcements

We’re excited to announce two upcoming performance opportunities at RLT!

First, we’ll be heading back outside for an adaptation of Snow White for our Family Series, scheduled to open in the Stephenson Amphitheatre on March 13. Audition submissions are due by January 24, so quickly head over to the Snow White audition page for more information!

We’re also excited to continue our Teens on Stage (TOS) / Teens Backstage (TBS) program this summer! This year, TOS/TBS will create a site-specific production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, performed in the Stephenson Amphitheatre and Raleigh Rose Garden. The production is directed by RLT’s director of education, Meredyth Pederson Cooper, and is open to students aged 14-18. Learn more about the program and how to apply here!

Never miss an audition announcement by signing up for our Audition Notices email newsletter here.

Thanks for your support!

In addition to the Chatham Life & Style awards we shared in our last newsletter, we are also grateful to announce we have won the following BroadwayWorld Raleigh Awards

  • Arts Educator of the Decade
  • Production of a Play of the Decade: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
  • Theatre Company of the Decade

Additionally, RLT proudly finished in second place for Best Performing Arts Venue behind DPAC in the 2020 WRAL Voters’ Choice Awards

We owe these accolades to our amazing RLT community. Thank you for your votes and for always supporting our community theatre!
