Don’t miss your chance!

RLT’s 21-22 season is already selling out. Get your tickets now!

Fall 2021 shows are on sale now!

In case you missed it, tickets for the first half of Raleigh Little Theatre’s 21-22 Season of New Heights went on sale July 1! Our first show of the season, the Teens on Stage/Teens Backstage presentation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It, has already completely sold out its July 23-31 run! Make sure you don’t miss your opportunity to get tickets for our remaining 2021 shows:

Beehive: The 60’s Musical

August 12-28, Stephenson Amphitheatre

A colorful and energetic celebration of the powerful female voices of the 1960’s with such timeless hits as “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Be My Baby,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” and “Me and Bobby McGee.” Be ready to dance and sing along!

The Velocity of Autumn

September 17 - October 3, Sutton Theatre

Alexandra is a witty and passionate 80-year-old artist who has barricaded herself in her Brooklyn brownstone with enough Molotov cocktails to take out the block! Why? She’s in the middle of a showdown with her family over where she’ll spend her remaining years. This play is a wickedly funny and wonderfully touching discovery of the fragility and ferocity of life.

Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!”

October 23-31, Stephenson Amphitheatre

Your kids’ favorite Mo Willems characters Elephant and Piggie take the stage and sing their way through a day where anything is possible! See memorable moments from the Elephant & Piggie book series come to life in this bouncy and fun musical.

Curious what visiting RLT looks like these days? Check out our latest update on COVID-19 safety procedures so you know what to expect when you come to one of our 21-22 season shows or events.

And mark your calendars - tickets for the second half of our season (Pride and Prejudice, Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, and In the Heights) as well as our soon-to-be-announced holiday production will go on sale October 1 at noon!

Meet RLT’s new board members

As a nonprofit theater, RLT relies on a dedicated and talented board of directors to accomplish its mission. July 1 marked the beginning of RLT’s fiscal year, and the theatre welcomed four new board members as of this date:

  • Brooke Cummings
  • Barbette Hunter
  • Kyma Lassiter
  • Harryson Turner

Learn about our new board members as well as this year’s board officers here!

Dreamgirls & Hocus Pocus in the Garden

Our summer Movie in the Garden was unfortunately canceled due to rain, but we are looking ahead to cooler (and hopefully drier) weather in the fall! Join us on Thursday, September 9, to celebrate 15 years since Dreamgirls hit the big screen! Then have a spooky good time at our Thursday, October 7, screening of everyone’s Halloween-time favorite, Hocus Pocus

Tickets for Movies in the Garden are pay-what-you-can starting at $1 and will be available July 30 at noon. We hope to see you there!

Fall classes on sale August 11

As summer camp rolls along and folks are thinking ahead to the fall season, we keep hearing one thing: “When do more classes go on sale??” Well lucky for you, we have the answer!

Fall 2021 classes for age 2 - grade 12 and adults go on sale Wednesday, August 11! Classes will all happen in-person at RLT with options on both weekdays and Saturdays. Classes mostly run either September thru October or November thru December.

To help you map your plan of attack on registration day, we are hoping to share some of the class offerings before everything goes on sale. Keep an eye on our RLT Education Facebook page for special announcements!

Canteys recap & volunteer opportunities

We were thrilled to welcome so many members of our volunteer community to the Stephenson Amphitheatre on June 30 for the 2021 Cantey Awards - it was great to see your faces! Read about the shows and volunteers that were honored during the event on our website.

Does volunteering at RLT sound like fun, but you don’t know where to start? Learn more about our numerous volunteer opportunities and sign up for our volunteer newsletter!

If you’d rather volunteer and literally be in the spotlight, we have auditions coming up July 26 & 27 for The Velocity of Autumn. It’s always the right time to try something new!
